The origin of Tchuca Ruma (Tchuka Ruma) and where it is actually played still subject of scientific dispute. Authors refer to western India. Others refer to the Philippines, the Maldives and even to Russia. The name also suggests an Indonesian or Malay origin. 
Tchuca Ruma game is considered the most ingenious of all mancala games for a single player. It is a solitarie game. It is played on boards of 5 aligned holes; a board of 1x5. The greater hole is located to the right and it is called "Ruma".
