>>> On December of 2005 the first contents were written and gradually this web site has it grown. It was a completely selfless work, being made a self-taught, as a hobby, for pleasure. I’m proud of the work done. Because, modestly I think that the main goal of this website it has been achieved: To contribute with my modest bit to publicize the Oware’s world, this fascinating universe of “holes and seeds” games. Since its creation date, it was received visits from over 80 countries worldwide. I received countless compliments on my initiative, questions, suggestions, doubts... made by amateur players, by expert players, by people interested in oware, by collectors, even by the British Museum, to cite one of many entities and institutions related to mancala games that have contacted me following the web. It also has been quoted in several articles, papers, studies, in some school projects, in PhD theses, as a reference and is recommended on many websites as a suggested site to visit.
But it is not enough ... and so, since last June 2009, you have a new website: awale.info where I’m bringing new contents. A window where you can see the result of our research work about mancala games that we have done, conducted in different parts of Africa where we have traveled. A result that is shown in articles, exclusive videos and mancala game rules not documented until now.
In addition to having an excellent design and programming, offers a selection of various sections in a single integrated web site, unheard of today in Internet: oware game online, many rules of mancala games accompanied by high quality graphics, exclusive interviews, lots of images, one oware gallery where you can buy unique and original mancala boards, etc.
