Talking about Mancala games is the same than talking about domino games or card games. That is, with a board of two rows of six holes, for example, we will play several different games.

2x8 board is a mancala board with two rows of eight holes. This kind of board is characteristic in Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi. It is included in the generic name Bao (2x8, 2x12 and 4x8 boards).

The one that appears above on the left is from Dem.Rep. of Congo. The one that appears below on the left is a Bao from Kenya.
