Slavomír Èupil presents himself as the fine artist, as a artphotographer and as a worker of the folksculture. Born in the pitoresque submontane landscape of the Slánske vrchy in the village Petkovce on june 16 th 1948 / disctrick Vranov nad Top¾ou / he was influenced by the splendid nature just in his youth.He has drawn and painted in the years of the grade schol already.
His hight schol study on the Philosophy faculty was ended with the university examen. The diploma thesis was on the theme of the paedagogy. Already in the time of his studies he worked in several positions of the cultural institutions of the city and district range. As a methodic, department head and at the end as a manager he went in the district for more than 22 years for the evolution of the amateur art. He had organized competentions for the evolution of the amateur art.
He had organized competentions for the amateur and also professional artists. Alongside of his employment he worked also actively on education for the artability of the young generation of the pupils on the grade schools. In the year 1972 he established the department of the fine art in the artschool in Vranov n.T. when there existed only musical departments former. Till the year 1975 here he taught simultaneously the creative art. At his time he worked with important theoreticians and artists / with Dr. Pichonský, arthistorian on the Eastslowakian Gallery in Košice, with Academy graduate artists Juraj Kresila, Jozef Jackaniè and Academy sculptor Michal Czupil and with other.../.
The editor of the Slovak radio Andrej Demo was enjoyed by the theme and realisation olf the packing for the gramophone record of the „Wedding in Zámutov“ performed by the folklore ensemble „Zámutovèan“, adressed to the American Slovaks. Sporadically he exhibited his Works of creative art / also of the photography / in Vranov n T. as also in the range of the Slovakia in Bratislava. These were published in the Enlinghtement Institut / Osvetový ústav / . But because of the workoverload he was in this direction not active farther. In the last decenium is he a teacher of the arteducation on a gradeschool and by the exhibitions and cempetitions he attracts the hopefully and talented students in the world of the art. In the competitions the disciples gain the foremost paces.
He goes in his artactivity for the drawing and painting all his life. He attends the thourough study of the country, he paints portraits and figural compositions and also the stilll life. He likes using and working the aquarel and tempera technics in his travelling for topics.
Many pictures are owned by the families in Bohemia, Austria, USA and in the Slovakia.
